Citrus medica extract is a botanical extract derived from the leaves, bark, peel, or seeds of *Citrus medica* (commonly known as citron). It contains various bioactive phytochemicals, including flavonoids (such as apigenin, hesperetin, naringin, and quercetin), coumarins, and terpenoids. The extract has been investigated for its diverse pharmacological properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and cytotoxic/antitumor activities. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its potential in inhibiting the proliferation of breast and colorectal cancer cells, reducing blood glucose levels in diabetic models, and exhibiting neuroprotective and anti-depressive effects.
