Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cizdol-N is a combination sublingual tablet manufactured by Maan Pharmaceuticals, containing buprenorphine and naloxone. It is indicated for the treatment of opioid dependence and de-addiction as part of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Buprenorphine acts as a partial agonist at the mu-opioid receptor, which helps alleviate withdrawal symptoms and cravings without producing the intense euphoria associated with full opioid agonists. Naloxone, an opioid receptor antagonist, is included to deter misuse; it remains inactive when taken sublingually as directed but blocks opioid effects if the tablet is crushed and injected.
