Overview

CJM112 is a human monoclonal antibody developed by Novartis that targets and neutralizes interleukin-17A (IL-17A) and interleukin-17AF (IL-17AF), key cytokines involved in inflammatory processes. By binding to these cytokines, CJM112 inhibits their activity and reduces inflammation. It has been investigated for the treatment of several immune-mediated diseases including moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne vulgaris, and asthma. Clinical studies have shown that it is generally safe and well tolerated at tested doses; however, its efficacy did not consistently surpass existing therapies such as secukinumab[1][2][7][9].
