Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CJT-L20 is a needle-free autoinjector product being developed by Crossject for the emergency treatment of severe asthma attacks. It utilizes Crossject's proprietary ZENEO device to deliver terbutaline, a short-acting beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. The ZENEO platform uses gas propulsion to deliver the medication through the skin in less than a tenth of a second, allowing for rapid administration even through clothing. This formulation is designed for self-administration or caregiver use during acute bronchospasm crises where traditional inhalers may be insufficient or difficult to use.
