Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CK-089, also known as CK-4015089, is a novel, selective, oral, small molecule fast skeletal muscle troponin activator (FSTA) developed by Cytokinetics. It is designed to selectively activate the fast skeletal muscle troponin complex by increasing its affinity for calcium. This mechanism aims to improve muscle force and function, making it a potential therapeutic candidate for a specific type of muscular dystrophy and other conditions characterized by impaired muscle function, weakness, atrophy, and fatigue.
