Overview

CK-3762601 is a next-generation fast skeletal muscle troponin activator (FSTA) small molecule developed for conditions of muscle weakness. It directly targets fast skeletal troponin C, increasing the calcium sensitivity of the actin filament in fast-twitch myofibers, thereby enhancing contractile force in skeletal muscle. Its preclinical development has been focused on improving muscle performance and treating diseases characterized by skeletal muscle dysfunction, such as ICU-acquired diaphragm weakness and other conditions involving impaired muscle strength[1][3][4][5][6][7][11][13].
