CKD-514

CKD-514 (also known as ACL-514) is an orally bioavailable small molecule Glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist developed by Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. As a non-peptide GLP-1R agonist, it is designed to overcome the limitations of injectable peptide therapies by offering a convenient oral dosing regimen. Preclinical studies presented at Obesity Week 2025 demonstrated that CKD-514 possesses high oral bioavailability and superior efficacy in weight reduction and glycemic control compared to other oral GLP-1R agonists like orforglipron at lower doses. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics.
