CKD-9001 is a next-generation, selective small molecule inhibitor of Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1) and a potent DNA trapper developed by CKD Pharmaceutical Corp. Unlike first-generation pan-PARP inhibitors that target both PARP1 and PARP2, CKD-9001 is designed to selectively inhibit PARP1 to minimize hematologic toxicities associated with PARP2 inhibition. Preclinical studies indicate that CKD-9001 exhibits potent antiproliferative effects in homologous recombination repair (HRR)-deficient cancer cell lines and demonstrates significant antitumor efficacy in vivo. Additionally, the compound is capable of penetrating the blood-brain barrier, suggesting potential utility in treating central nervous system metastases.
