CKD-950 is a small molecule modulator of the A3 adenosine receptor (A3AR) being developed by Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. It is specifically targeted for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The A3 adenosine receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor that is frequently overexpressed in various tumor types, including liver cancer, while maintaining low expression in healthy tissues. CKD-950 is designed to exploit this differential expression to selectively target malignant cells, potentially inducing apoptosis or inhibiting cell proliferation.
