Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CKW22 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic consisting of stem cell-derived exosomes loaded with Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGF-β3) protein. Developed by Prostemics in partnership with CK-Exogene, it is designed for wound treatment. TGF-β3 is known for its role in scarless wound healing and regulating the inflammatory response. By using exosomes as a delivery vehicle, the therapy aims to enhance the regenerative potential of TGF-β3 while leveraging the innate bioactivity of stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles. The exosome platform provides a stable environment for the protein cargo and facilitates its delivery to target cells at the wound site, promoting tissue regeneration and minimizing fibrosis.
