Overview

CL-741 (also known as KPT-741) is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of the c-MET (Hepatocyte Growth Factor Receptor) tyrosine kinase. Originally developed by Celyn Therapeutics and subsequently acquired by Kairos Pharma, the compound is designed to address drug resistance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients with EGFR mutations. MET amplification is a common bypass signaling mechanism that allows tumors to escape EGFR inhibition. CL-741 is being developed as a potential combination therapy with pan-EGFR inhibitors like CL-273 to provide a more comprehensive blockade of oncogenic signaling pathways and overcome resistance in advanced lung cancers.
