CL-NK-003 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by Changhai Hospital (First Affiliated Hospital of the Naval Medical University) for the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer. The therapy utilizes NK cells engineered to target Early Growth Response 1 (EGR1), a transcription factor that is overexpressed in pancreatic cancer and plays a critical role in promoting epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), tumor invasion, and metastasis. CL-NK-003 is designed to recognize and eliminate pancreatic cancer cells that exhibit membrane-positive expression of EGR1. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 first-in-human clinical trial (NCT07425483) to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with locally advanced, metastatic, or recurrent pancreatic cancer.
