Overview

CL-S04 is an oral small molecule late sodium current inhibitor under development by Celex Oncology (a spinout of Imperial College London) for the treatment of glioblastoma. The drug selectively targets the voltage-gated sodium channel NaV1.6 (encoded by the SCN8A gene), which is aberrantly expressed in glioblastoma and contributes to tumor cell invasiveness and aggressiveness. By inhibiting the late sodium current and rebalancing intracellular sodium levels, CL-S04 aims to modulate cancer cell bioelectricity, reduce tumor cell invasiveness, and slow disease progression.
