Overview

Cladin is a fixed-dose combination oral tablet marketed by Jointcare Pharmaceuticals, primarily indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. The formulation combines the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) **diclofenac** with the proteolytic enzymes **trypsin** and **bromelain**, and the bioflavonoid **rutoside**. Diclofenac provides analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, while the enzymes trypsin and bromelain facilitate the breakdown of inflammatory by-products and reduce edema. Rutoside acts as an antioxidant and capillary stabilizer, potentially enhancing the overall anti-inflammatory response and improving microcirculation at the site of injury.
