ClairYg is a ready-to-use, highly purified 5% liquid intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) preparation derived from pooled human plasma. It is saccharose- and maltose-free and designed for both replacement therapy in primary immunodeficiency diseases (PID) and as an immunomodulatory agent in immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). Its mechanism of action involves multiple effects on the immune system, including modulation of cytokines, complement inhibition, Fc receptor blockade to prevent phagocyte-mediated cell destruction, neutralization of autoantibodies, and broad anti-infective activity through pathogen binding. ClairYg has demonstrated efficacy in increasing platelet counts in ITP patients and reducing serious bacterial infections in PID patients. It is approved for use in children under 12 years old as well as adults[1][2][3].
