Overview

**ClaraCeed** is a proprietary, high-cannabidiol medical cannabis product originally developed by Columbia Care, now The Cannabist Company. It is a full-spectrum cannabis-derived preparation formulated with a high CBD-to-THC ratio, including a 20:1 CBD:THC presentation, and was developed in dose-metered tablet and other medical-cannabis formats. Its pharmacology is mediated principally by cannabinoids, including THC activity at cannabinoid receptors, while CBD and other cannabis constituents may contribute to anticonvulsant, analgesic, anxiolytic, and anti-inflammatory effects. Columbia Care partnered with The Center for Discovery in 2018 to study ClaraCeed and ClaraCeed Ultra in pediatric and adult patients with intractable epilepsy; ClaraCeed was also studied in rheumatologic patients for pain outcomes.
