Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ClaraCeed Ultra** is a proprietary, orally administered full-spectrum medical-cannabis tablet developed and manufactured by Columbia Care. It is a precisely dosed, long-lasting, hard-pressed tablet containing an ultra-high cannabidiol concentration as its primary active constituent, reported to be nearly three times that of standard ClaraCeed tablets, together with 11 additional functional cannabinoids. ClaraCeed Ultra was studied as adjunctive treatment for pediatric and adult patients with drug-resistant intractable epilepsy, with evaluation of safety, tolerability, and potential reduction of convulsive seizures. Its therapeutic activity is attributed to the pharmacology of cannabidiol and the broader cannabis-derived cannabinoid mixture, but a single established molecular mechanism for the proprietary formulation has not been publicly defined.
