Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Clarix Flo (CLARIX® FLO) is a sterile, acellular, particulate human amniotic membrane and umbilical cord tissue allograft developed by BioTissue. It is processed from donated human placental tissue obtained via voluntary Cesarean section donations and does not contain living cells. Clarix Flo is rich in extracellular matrix proteins, growth factors (such as TGF-β, EGF, and PDGF), cytokines, and hyaluronic acid, which collectively promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and minimize scarring. It is administered via localized injections (such as intradetrusor injections for bladder conditions or intra-articular/intralesional injections for musculoskeletal injuries) to act as a biological scaffold that restarts the body's natural healing process. Clarix Flo is primarily investigated for the treatment of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) and is also used for chronic soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions, including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and osteoarthritis.
