Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Classical Swine Fever Virus E2 subunit vaccine is a recombinant protein vaccine developed by Shen Lian Biotech for the prevention of Classical Swine Fever (CSF) in swine. The vaccine utilizes the E2 glycoprotein of the Classical Swine Fever Virus (CSFV), which is the primary target for neutralizing antibodies, expressed in a yeast system (Pichia pastoris). Unlike traditional live-attenuated C-strain vaccines, this subunit formulation is non-infectious and provides a DIVA (Differentiation of Infected from Vaccinated Animals) capability, allowing for better disease surveillance and eradication efforts. It is administered via intramuscular injection to stimulate a protective immune response against CSFV infection.
