Drug intelligence / Profile preview
claudin-1-IRDye800CW is a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging agent consisting of a monoclonal antibody targeting Claudin-1 conjugated to the NIR fluorophore IRDye800CW. Claudin-1 is a tight-junction protein that is frequently overexpressed in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its metastases, while having limited expression in normal tissues, making it an ideal target for molecular imaging. This conjugate is designed to provide high-contrast visualization of primary tumors and sub-millimeter metastases during fluorescence-guided surgery. In preclinical models, it has demonstrated the ability to delineate tumor margins with high tumor-to-background ratios, facilitating real-time intraoperative detection using clinical laparoscopic platforms.
