Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Claudin 6-targeting CAR-T is a preclinical-stage chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by Innovative Cellular Therapeutics (also known as Shanghai Si Dan Race BioTechnology) for the treatment of ovarian cancer. The therapy consists of autologous T cells genetically engineered to express a CAR targeting Claudin 6 (CLDN6), a tight junction membrane protein that is highly overexpressed in various solid tumors, including ovarian cancer, while showing restricted expression in healthy adult tissues. Upon administration, these CAR-T cells specifically bind to CLDN6-expressing tumor cells, leading to T-cell activation, proliferation, and targeted tumor cell lysis.
