Claudin18.2 Targeted Activated Dendritic Cells is an autologous cell therapy consisting of dendritic cells (DCs) genetically modified to express a Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and an activation domain. Developed by Hainan Cancer Hospital, this therapy is designed to treat advanced pancreatic cancer. The mechanism involves activating the DCs to precisely target tumor sites, reshaping the tumor immune microenvironment, and breaking down immunosuppressive barriers. In clinical settings, it is often evaluated in combination with Claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cells to enhance the penetration and persistence of the T cells within the tumor by modifying the local immune landscape.
