Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CLB-4000 is a therapeutic vaccine candidate developed by ClearB Therapeutics for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection. It is designed to drive a functional cure by stimulating both humoral and cellular immune responses against hepatitis B virus (HBV). The vaccine leverages proprietary antigens (such as HBsAg variants, including CLB-405 and CLB-505) combined with a saponin-based adjuvant, TQL-1055, which is engineered to enhance immunogenicity while improving tolerability compared to traditional saponin adjuvants. Preclinical data have demonstrated dose-dependent immune responses in animal models. As of 2025, CLB-4000 has entered Phase 1 clinical trials evaluating its safety and tolerability in patients with chronic hepatitis B[1][2][3][9].
