CLD-301

CLD-301 is an investigational oncolytic virus therapy developed by Calidi Biotherapeutics using its proprietary Redtail platform. The therapy consists of an oncolytic Coxsackievirus A21 (CVA21) encapsulated within a universal cell delivery system. This cell-based delivery approach is designed to protect the viral payload from the host's immune system, specifically neutralizing antibodies, which often limit the efficacy of systemic oncolytic virus administration. By shielding the virus, CLD-301 aims to enhance the delivery of the virus to the tumor microenvironment. Once at the tumor site, the virus selectively infects and lyses cancer cells that overexpress the ICAM-1 receptor, releasing tumor-associated antigens and triggering a systemic anti-tumor immune response. It is currently being developed for the treatment of various solid tumors.
