Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CLD-502 is an investigational, systemically delivered, enveloped oncolytic virotherapy candidate developed by Calidi Biotherapeutics using its proprietary RedTail platform. It is engineered to selectively target tumor cells, undergo localized replication, and induce immunogenic cell death. CLD-502 is designed to co-express two therapeutic payloads directly within the tumor microenvironment: an in situ T-cell engager (TCE) targeting epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) and an interleukin-15 superagonist (IL-15 SA). By converting tumors into localized biofactories, CLD-502 aims to combine oncolytic tumor destruction, tumor microenvironment remodeling, and T-cell redirection to overcome the systemic toxicity and immunosuppressive barriers associated with conventional T-cell engagers in solid tumors.
