Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CleanViewAL** is a Taejoon oral, low-volume bowel-cleansing product used before colonoscopy or colonic X-ray/endoscopic examination. It is a 1-L polyethylene glycol 3350 plus ascorbate electrolyte preparation supplied as two powder components that are dissolved in water. Polyethylene glycol produces an osmotic cathartic effect that retains water in the intestinal lumen and promotes rapid bowel evacuation, while ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbate augment osmotic activity; sodium sulfate and electrolytes support the formulation. In a randomized phase 4 study in adults aged 20–60 years, split-dose CleanViewAL achieved a 97.6% bowel-cleansing success rate and was noninferior to Plenvu, with higher taste-satisfaction scores.
