Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cleara Biotech's β-Catenin program is an early-stage research initiative focused on developing therapeutics that target the β-Catenin protein for the treatment of various chronic diseases. β-Catenin is a central mediator of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue regeneration. Dysregulation of this pathway is a known driver in the progression of chronic conditions, including fibrotic diseases and certain cancers. As part of Cleara's focus on cellular senescence, this program aims to identify and target specific subtypes of 'scarred' cells where β-Catenin signaling is aberrantly activated, potentially offering a novel approach to reversing or halting disease progression.
