Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Clearfil SE Bond is a gold-standard, light-curing, self-etching dental adhesive system developed and manufactured by Kuraray. It is a two-step bonding agent consisting of a self-etching primer and a bonding agent, designed to provide high bond strength and durable sealing for direct composite restorations. The system's performance is primarily driven by the 10-MDP (10-Methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate) monomer, which creates a strong chemical bond with hydroxyapatite and ensures long-term stability of the adhesive interface. In clinical research conducted at Radboud University Medical Center, Clearfil SE Bond has been utilized as a benchmark control to evaluate the effectiveness of newer adhesive systems, including those containing antibacterial monomers like MDPB.
