Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ClickCRM is a ready-to-conjugate version of CRM197, an antigenic carrier protein widely used in the development of conjugate vaccines. It is engineered for rapid and high-efficiency conjugation to polysaccharide antigens, enabling the generation of conjugate vaccines with improved immunogenicity compared to traditional polysaccharide vaccines. The product features defined conjugation sites created by incorporating synthetic amino acids compatible with third-generation click chemistry, allowing precise site-specific protein modification. This technology facilitates accurate and efficient attachment of antigens to CRM197, streamlining vaccine development processes for bacterial infections such as those targeted by pneumococcal and meningococcal vaccines. Developed using synthetic biology approaches, ClickCRM leverages proprietary platform technologies from VALANX Biotech for upstream production (incorporating non-natural amino acids) and Fina Biosolutions' methods for purification and formulation[1][2][6].
