Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Clinset-N is a topical combination therapy marketed by Ardent Life Sciences for the treatment of acne vulgaris. It contains clindamycin phosphate, a lincosamide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, and nicotinamide (niacinamide), a form of vitamin B3 with potent anti-inflammatory properties. Clindamycin targets *Cutibacterium acnes*, the primary bacterium associated with acne, while nicotinamide helps reduce redness, swelling, and sebum production. This combination is designed to address both the bacterial and inflammatory components of acne.
