Overview

Clinsup Forte is a fixed-dose combination vaginal suppository developed by Resilient Cosmeceuticals for the treatment of mixed vaginal infections. It contains three active ingredients: clindamycin phosphate, clotrimazole, and tinidazole. Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, by targeting lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase. Tinidazole is a nitroimidazole antimicrobial that causes DNA strand breakage in anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. This combination is designed for the syndromic management of vaginal discharge caused by bacterial vaginosis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, and trichomoniasis.
