It combines clindamycin phosphate, a lincosamide antibacterial that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis; adapalene, a retinoid that normalizes follicular keratinization and reduces inflammation; and benzoyl peroxide, an oxidizing antimicrobial with comedolytic activity. The gel is indicated for once-daily topical treatment of acne vulgaris in adults and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older.
