Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CLIP-100 is an investigational injectable therapy developed by Amalfi Bio for the reduction of localized subcutaneous fat, including abdominal fat. It is the lead candidate from Amalfi's Cell-targeted Lipolysis and Immunomodulation Platform (CLIP), which utilizes a proprietary formulation of a naturally occurring molecule to target both subcutaneous and peri-organ fat. Unlike existing lipolytic agents that primarily focus on fat cell destruction, CLIP-100 is designed to reduce fat volume while simultaneously suppressing the secretion of pathological adipokines. This dual mechanism aims to address the inflammatory signaling associated with adipose tissue, potentially offering both aesthetic and metabolic benefits. The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 single ascending dose (SAD) clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy adult volunteers.
