Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CLLTAXS01 (also known as CLL-VAC-XS15 or iTAC-XS15-CLL01) is a personalized, warehouse-based multi-peptide therapeutic cancer vaccine being developed by ViferaXS, a clinical-stage biotechnology company and spin-out of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. The vaccine is designed for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and consists of eight CLL-associated peptides selected from a pre-manufactured peptide warehouse based on the patient's individual HLA allotype. It is adjuvanted with the novel Toll-like receptor 1/2 (TLR1/2) agonist XS15 and emulsified in Montanide ISA 51 VG. CLLTAXS01 is administered subcutaneously to induce robust and long-lasting CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses against naturally presented CLL-associated antigens, targeting and eliminating residual leukemia cells to prevent disease relapse.
