Overview

CLN-978 is a novel, half-life extended bispecific T cell engager antibody construct developed to target and eliminate B cells by simultaneously binding to the CD19 antigen on B cells and the CD3 receptor on T cells. This dual binding redirects cytotoxic T lymphocytes to lyse malignant or overactive B cells, including those with very low levels of CD19 expression. The molecule incorporates a human serum albumin (HSA) binding domain for extended serum half-life and improved dosing convenience. It is being developed primarily for autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), as well as various B-cell malignancies including mantle cell lymphoma and other non-Hodgkin lymphomas[1][2][5][7].
