Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CLn Body Wash is a topical antimicrobial cleanser containing 0.006% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), developed by TopMD for the management of skin conditions prone to infection and inflammation. Designed as a stable and convenient alternative to traditional dilute bleach baths, it is primarily used for patients with atopic dermatitis (eczema), folliculitis, and impetigo. The product works by reducing the microbial load on the skin's surface, particularly targeting *Staphylococcus aureus* colonization, which is known to exacerbate inflammatory skin diseases. By modulating the skin microbiome and reducing pathogenic triggers, it helps alleviate symptoms such as pruritus, erythema, and scaling. Recent clinical interest has also expanded to evaluating its impact on the microbiome of lesions in patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), specifically mycosis fungoides.
