Overview
LAU_LP-05 is a muco-adhesive buccal tablet formulation of clobetasol propionate developed by Vectans Pharma for the treatment of oral lichen planus. It utilizes the proprietary Lauriad drug delivery technology, which allows for the sustained release of the active corticosteroid directly at the site of the oral lesions. This localized delivery aims to improve efficacy while minimizing systemic exposure and side effects compared to traditional topical or systemic steroid treatments. The drug is currently in Phase 3 clinical development.
