Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Carebet-GC Cream is a topical combination medication developed by Surecare Pharma, primarily indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders complicated by bacterial or fungal infections. It contains three active ingredients: **clobetasol propionate**, a high-potency corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching by activating glucocorticoid receptors; **gentamicin**, an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit; and **clotrimazole**, an imidazole antifungal that disrupts fungal cell membrane synthesis by inhibiting lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase. This triple-action formulation is commonly used for conditions such as infected eczema, psoriasis, and various forms of dermatitis where secondary infection is present or suspected.
