Overview

KLOFIT is a branded generic version of clomiphene citrate, a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used primarily for the treatment of female infertility due to ovulatory dysfunction. Developed and marketed by Grand Medical Group, it acts by binding to estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, thereby blocking the negative feedback effect of endogenous estrogens. This leads to an increase in the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and subsequently follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which stimulates the development and maturation of ovarian follicles and triggers ovulation.
