Overview

Clone6HM CAR-T is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the CD33 antigen, a 67-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on the surface of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts and leukemic stem cells. The therapy utilizes T cells genetically modified to express a CAR incorporating a humanized single-chain variable fragment (scFv) derived from the Clone 6 antibody (Clone6HM). This humanized binder is intended to reduce the potential for host immune rejection compared to murine-based CARs, thereby enhancing the persistence and therapeutic window of the cells. Upon administration, Clone6HM CAR-T cells recognize and bind to CD33-positive cells, triggering T-cell activation, cytokine release, and direct cytotoxic killing of the leukemic cells. It is currently being investigated as a targeted immunotherapy for patients with relapsed or refractory AML.
