Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Clostridium butyricum + lactobacillus acidophilus + bifidobacterium infantis is a triple-strain live biotherapeutic product primarily developed and marketed in China for the treatment of intestinal dysbiosis and associated gastrointestinal disorders. The combination consists of Clostridium butyricum, which produces butyric acid to nourish the intestinal epithelium and inhibit pathogens; Lactobacillus acidophilus, which produces lactic acid to maintain an acidic environment; and Bifidobacterium infantis, a key commensal organism that supports immune function and barrier integrity. Together, these strains work synergistically to restore the natural gut flora, alleviate symptoms of acute and chronic diarrhea, and treat constipation or abdominal distension caused by microbial imbalance.
