Overview

Clostridium butyricum GKB7 is a specific live probiotic strain of the butyrate-producing, Gram-positive anaerobic bacterium *Clostridium butyricum*. Developed by Grape King Bio, this strain is being investigated for its therapeutic potential through the modulation of the gut-brain-behavior axis and its anti-inflammatory properties. In clinical research, it is being evaluated for its efficacy in improving behavioral symptoms and identifying diagnostic biomarkers in patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, preclinical studies have demonstrated that oral administration of GKB7 can ameliorate signs of osteoarthritis by reducing the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), thereby protecting cartilage and bone from degenerative damage.
