Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination product containing strains or preparations of Clostridium (likely as "clostridium caseinate," though this term is not standard and may refer to a preparation involving Clostridium species, possibly Clostridium butyricum or related) and Enterococcus (as "enterococcus triad," which likely refers to a mixture of three Enterococcus strains, commonly including Enterococcus faecium). Such combinations are typically used as probiotics intended to modulate the gut microbiota, support intestinal health, and potentially prevent or treat gastrointestinal disorders. The mechanism of action involves competitive inhibition of pathogenic bacteria, modulation of immune responses in the gut mucosa, enhancement of mucosal barrier function, and production of beneficial metabolites such as short-chain fatty acids. There is evidence that both C. butyricum and E. faecium can alter the structure of the gut microbiota; however, studies have not consistently shown synergistic effects when combined[4][5]. These products are generally considered safe for use in animals and humans for dietary supplementation.
