Overview

Clotinab (ISU301) is a biosimilar version of abciximab, a glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa receptor antagonist. It is a chimeric monoclonal antibody fragment (Fab) that inhibits platelet aggregation by binding to the integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3 (GP IIb/IIIa) receptor on activated platelets, thereby preventing the binding of fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, and other adhesive ligands. Developed by ISU Abxis, Clotinab is primarily indicated for the prevention of cardiac ischemic complications in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and unstable angina. The drug is produced using Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell culture technology and is administered via intravenous injection.
