Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination topical pharmaceutical containing three active ingredients: **clotrimazole**, an imidazole-class broad-spectrum antifungal that damages fungal cell membranes causing leakage and cell death; **gentamicin**, an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, resulting in bacterial cell death; and **beclomethasone**, a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by suppressing prostaglandin synthesis. This formulation is indicated for the treatment of mixed fungal and bacterial skin infections, including dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, impetigo, diaper rash, lichen simplex, bug bites, burns, boils, dermatoses, and otitis externa. It is for **topical administration only** and should not be used on open wounds, blisters, or mucosal surfaces without medical supervision[2].
