Overview

CLPH-291 is a freeze-dried platelet-derived hemostat (FPH) being developed by Cellphire Therapeutics. Utilizing a proprietary stabilization technology, the product consists of human platelets that have been freeze-dried to allow for an extended shelf life of over three years at room temperature, overcoming the limitations of conventional liquid-stored platelets. CLPH-291 is primarily being investigated for the treatment of bleeding associated with rare genetic bleeding disorders, such as Bernard Soulier Syndrome, and can be rapidly rehydrated with sterile water for immediate administration. Beyond its primary hemostatic function, the therapy is being explored for its potential to modulate vascular permeability and influence inflammatory and fibrotic pathways, representing a versatile cell therapy platform.
