Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CLPH-511** is Cellphire Therapeutics' investigational allogeneic, pooled cryopreserved platelet product for intravenous treatment of acute hemorrhage when conventional liquid-stored platelets are unavailable or in short supply. It is manufactured from irradiated, Group O, leukocyte-reduced apheresis platelet units, concentrated, stabilized with dimethyl sulfoxide during manufacturing, frozen below -65 °C, and supplied as an activated platelet suspension after thawing and resuspension. The product is intended to provide immediate platelet-mediated hemostatic support in active bleeding, with extended frozen storage of up to five years compared with the short shelf life of conventional liquid-stored platelets. CLPH-511 has FDA Fast Track designation and has been studied in the Phase 2/3 CRYPTICS trial in patients with uncontrolled bleeding during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery.
