Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CLS004 is a preclinical-stage cell therapy being developed by Cellusion for the treatment of bullous keratopathy and other corneal endothelial diseases. The therapy utilizes Cellusion's proprietary technology to generate corneal endothelial cell substitutes from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). This approach is designed to provide a scalable and standardized alternative to traditional corneal transplants, which are currently limited by a global shortage of donor tissue. By replacing damaged or depleted endothelial cells, CLS004 aims to restore the cornea's ability to regulate fluid balance, thereby resolving corneal edema and restoring vision.
