Overview

CLS974 is a research-stage cell therapy candidate being developed by Cellusion in collaboration with Keio University. It is based on the company's proprietary FRiEND Tech (Function-added Regenerative iPSC-derived ENdothelial cell Technology) platform, which enables the creation of 'Function Added CECSi Cells.' These are induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived endothelial cells that have been genetically or functionally modified to perform specific therapeutic roles. CLS974 is currently being investigated for its potential in treating retinal diseases and oncology, where the modified cells may act as delivery vehicles for therapeutic agents or provide direct regenerative and anti-tumor effects within the target tissue microenvironment.
