CLX-106 is an investigational small-molecule prodrug that consists of monomethyl fumarate (5‑methoxymethyl furan‑2‑carbaldehyde, MMF) covalently conjugated to the omega‑3 fatty acid icosapentaenoic acid using Cellix Bio’s Synergix prodrug platform.[1][7][3] Designed to improve the pharmacokinetic and tolerability profile of MMF, an approved therapy for relapsing‑remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS), CLX‑106 aims to deliver an optimized exposure of MMF while potentially adding anti‑inflammatory and immunomodulatory benefits from the icosapentaenoic acid moiety, for the treatment of RRMS and psoriasis.[1][7][2][3] The program is being developed via the FDA 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway and has been advanced by Cellix Bio and its partners V ClinBio and Camargo Pharmaceutical Services, although public pipeline databases currently list its global R&D status as discontinued at the discovery stage.[4][3][5][8]
